New 2027 Honda City Sedan

The New 2027 Honda City Sedan has been revealed in Brazil with refreshed styling, more features and a new RS variant for the hatchback. The sedan is available in LX, EX, EXL and Touring trims, while the hatchback gets the same lineup with the addition of the range-topping RS. The commercial launch is set for early November 2026, with pre-sales already underway for 3,000 units, split equally between the two body styles.

The biggest changes are at the front, where the new City draws inspiration from the Honda Prelude. The redesigned grille is paired with a flatter Honda badge, a revised bumper and new lighting elements. Full-LED headlights are now standard across the range, while the Touring and RS variants get an LED strip connecting the headlamp areas. The sedan also gets a revised lower rear bumper, while the RS hatchback features its own rear design.

Under the hood, the City continues with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder flex-fuel engine with direct injection. It produces 126 hp at 6,200 rpm, while torque is rated at 15.8 kgfm (155 Nm) with ethanol and 15.5 kgfm (152 Nm) with petrol, both at 4,600 rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT automatic gearbox with seven simulated ratios, sending power to the front wheels. Honda claims a 0 to 100 kmph time of around 10.6 seconds.

The new RS sits at the top of the hatchback range and brings a sportier look without any increase in engine output. It gets a black roof, black ORVMs, a black shark-fin antenna, dark-finished 16-inch alloy wheels, RS badges and a sport exhaust finisher.

The interior gets its own RS touches as well, including aluminium pedals, a black headliner, red stitching, dark trim and dedicated instrument graphics. The changes give the hatchback a more distinctive appearance without altering its mechanical setup.
